Welcome to Top Left Corner

Top Left Corner is a new venture with a specific goal to nuture, develop and promote new writing focussed on the broad theme of

being here together

We hope to achieve this goal by provide a base centred on Glencanisp Lodge around which writers can come together to develop personal projects and share ideas in the form of regular ‘open’ retreats. Top Left Corner will promote and facilitate theme based events where writers can collaborate to develop writing around themes of place, identity and belonging in the form of regular theme-based residential retreats

It is our hope that in the future we will alos be able to provide promotional, publication and logistical support for the dissemination or exhibition of work created from these events or within the network of writers associated with Top Left Corner

Glencanisp Retreats 2008

For a week of writing inspiration come to a writing retreat at Glencanisp Lodge in the north-west Highlands of Scotland. There are no qualifications required to come and no compulsory activities, just an opportunity for writers to develop their work in progress in a peaceful and stunningly beautiful environment.


Two retreat weeks are available in 2008:
